Stacey joined The Early Bird Therapy Centre in January 2020.

She completed her undergraduate training at the University of the Witwatersrand, graduating in 2015, and went on to complete her community service year at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. She remained there as a permanent staff member for three years, where her passion for paediatrics truly began.

Over the following years, Stacey gained extensive experience across a range of paediatric settings, including the paediatric and neonatal ICU, paediatric burns unit, neurodevelopmental rehabilitation clinic, and several multidisciplinary team clinics.

She completed the Basic Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) course based on the Bobath Concept in 2019. Stacey went on to complete the Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment training (Basic level in 2022 & Advanced level in 2023) - strengthening her skills in early neurodevelopmental assessment.

Most recently, in 2024, Stacey completed her Master’s degree in Paediatric Neurological Physiotherapy at WITS. She presented her research 'Functional Outcomes of Children on Discharge from a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit' at the 2025 EACD International Conference in Germany.

Stacey continues to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, where she is committed to providing evidence-based, family-centred care and enriching the lives of her young patients.
